Disclaimer: Although proboards is a PG-13 board, the world of The Elder Scrolls is mature rated and full of possibly triggering material that includes--but is not limited to-- blood, violence, alcoholism, murder, theft, language and adult themes. While everything on the board will be kept within the PG-13 ratings, I still advice caution if any of the above is bothersome.
Character Creation:
New Members who have registered and are interested in joining the site must have an application posted in the Apply section of the board in order to be accepted.
Original Characters: OC's are more than welcome on the site, in fact they are encouraged, just remember that you can't make any OC's that are directly tied to a Canon Character without talking to them first. I would also like to avoid things like Vilkas having a long lost sister, your characters are more than welcome to have friendships with each other and even pr-established relationships that have been discussed and ok'ed, that is perfectly fine. But I would like to steer away from blood relations of that sort.
Canon Characters: Try to keep your characters 'in character ' as much as possible. While I know the whole point of role play is to come up with your own scenarios and headcanons for your character and it's fun to mess around with your character and have them say or do things they normally wouldn't. I just don't want to see Farkas being the father of 20 kids or Vilkas frolicking with butterflies in a patch of flowers, as funny as that may be. You can feel free to post all of that in the c-box. lol That's why it's there. xD It's designed for crack and ooc posts. You can also feel free to make "crack" threads in the general area. I trust you guys to know the characters you are role playing well.
Relationships: Which leads me to my next point, It's common in role-play for some couples to desire a lovechild. Don't get me wrong; I see nothing wrong with your character having children, I just don't want to see a massive baby boom.
* And also, remember that role playing content of the adult nature is not allowed as per proboards site rules. (These aren't my rules, they are proboards rules) So try to keep things that everyone can read PG-13, you can take anything R rated to a private chat.
Character Profile: To avoid confusion make sure you only have one character profile per account, for example (My Lira character account is only for Lira , If I were to take up say Aela as another character, I would not be allowed to roleplay as Aela on Lady's account.) It just makes things terribly confusing for everyone when there are two characters on one account and it's easier to keep the accounts separate. Proboards has made it very easy to bounce between multiple characters, all accounts are automatically linked, you just need to use the same email address when you register.
Face Claim: There will only be one of each FC allowed on the site, this is to prevent confusion. I don't want a million characters using Katheryn Winnick running around.
Bullying--Bad mouthing, Harassment and Fighting with other role-players is strictly prohibited. You will be given one warning in such an offense, and should you ignore it and continue, you will have your IP banned and your username deleted. Also, please remember that things that happen in character do not translate over ooc, just because a character dislikes yours does not necessarily mean the mun feels the same.
-Comments to other role-players based on sexual, racial, or any other kind of prejudice will not be tolerated. You will be given one waning.
God Modding/Meta Gaming: Absolutely unacceptable. No character is all powerful. Even the Dragonborn gets tossed around often. If you take a hit, react accordingly. This especially goes for battles, you do not have the right to assume and write out how a character will react or respond without the players permission.
-- Also, as this goes hand in hand, you can not kill another person's character in a post without that player's consent, it won't count. Always make sure to check with your partner first before you automatically jump into it. This is just to avoid conflict.
Signatures/Avatars: Keep them no bigger than 500 x 200, only because outrageously large signatures distort the pages in posts and that can slow down the site.. I don't mind if you sig. is off by a few numbers, I'm pretty lenient about sigs, just don't make them too big. Icons are 200x200.
Advertisements/ Affiliates: Please keep all advertisements and affiliate requests to that specific board, it is guest friendly for that reason.
Misc: And last but not least, this site is pretty laid back, it's meant to be a nice place to keep track of threads and play out your favorite characters. There is no set post length requirement or activity check, I also will not be going out of my way to advertise or search for new members. Its meant to be as relaxed as Indie Tumblr RP but more organized. Please keep in mind when joining, most of us role-play for fun on our free time, we may not be online every day and may take a while to respond, role-play is not a high priority nor will it be treated like one. It's meant to be a soothing escape and I would like to keep it as stress-free as possible.

Put commas and periods where they belong, pay attention to your writing so you don't forget to type in words that could make your posts difficult to read.
